Description
Cook & Share is a mobile application designed to connect home cooks with customers
seeking affordable, home-cooked meals as an alternative to eating out or ordering takeaways. The
platform fosters a social cooking community where users can easily browse, order, and share meals,
while also enabling cooks to showcase their dishes and earn income.
Key Features
While eCommerce has its strengths, it also has some disadvantages compared to
mCommerce, including:
- Dual Onboarding:Separate sign-up flows for customers and home cooks.
- Meal Discovery: Category-based browsing (e.g., pizza, sandwiches, vegetarian) with integrated filters for easy navigation.
- Social Engagement:Cooks can post dishes with images, descriptions, ingredients, and prices, while customers can like and review meals.
- E-commerce Integration:Users can add meals to a cart and complete transactions seamlessly.
- Geo-location Support:Displays distance to cooks and allows order pickup or delivery options.
My Contributions
As the frontend developer, I was responsible for implementing the provided UI/UX
designs and ensuring a smooth user experience across both Android and iOS platforms. My
contributions included:
- Translating high-fidelity designs into responsive, pixel-perfect interfaces.
- Building reusable components to streamline development and ensure consistency.
- Integrating interactive features such as search, filtering, and ordering flows.
- Optimizing performance for a smooth cross-platform experience.
Result
Cook & Share successfully delivers a user-friendly, visually appealing, and
functional application that enhances accessibility to home-cooked meals. By merging social
networking elements with food delivery, the app creates a unique ecosystem where users can both
enjoy and share culinary experiences.
